A major project

This project aims to send thousands of small satellites to provide high-performance. Internet access anywhere on Earth. Last February, SpaceX had already obtained a first authorization to deploy 4,425 satellites by 2027. This authorization is good news for Elon Musk, who wishes to use this program to finance a space conquest. On February 22, 2018, SpaceX and Starlink took a decisive step forward: the project successfully launched the first two Starlink test satellites (named Tintin A and Tintin B) from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

A competitive sector

While billionaire Elon Musk is working on his Starlink project, other competitors in Silicon Valley are also interested in this type of space project. For example, Google would like to fly large balloons and Facebook would work on a satellite called Athena. Both projects would provide Internet service in remote or underdeveloped areas.
