In the flight deck of the Boeing 777X, there are 5 touch screens on the front of the dashboard. In addition, the various information such as weather and maps are often already digitized. In order for pilots to be familiar with the system, new simulators will be gradually installed. The 777X integrates new technologies such as a new approach navigation system (IAN), a GPS for landings (GLS) and a head-up display. In order to better handle the aircraft, pilots will have a view taken by a camera placed in the tail of the aircraft, as on the A380.

The Boeing 777X can carry up to 426 passengers over a range of 16,170 km and 13,500 km for both versions: 777-8 and 777-9.

One of the main innovations is the foldable wing of the Boeing 777X, capable of unfolding and folding its wingtip. Thus, the wingspan increases by 7 meters from takeoff.

Pilots will be able to control the unfoldable wings from the upper panel. During take-off, pilots will be able to unfold or fold the wings. There is also an auto fold switch, located on the captain's side, on the overhead panel.

The test aircraft was fully assembled in November 2018. The first of the four dedicated 777-9 flight test aircraft, the WH001, will now undergo checks before resuming testing in the coming days.

The test fleet, which began ground tests at Everett last year, will undergo a full series of tests and conditions on the ground and in the air over the next few months to demonstrate the safety and reliability of the aircraft. The first deliveries are expected to take place in 2021.
